Hello!
My name is Marina, and I am originally from Porto Alegre, Brazil. I have been working professionally as a Designer since 2009. I have experience in different areas of the Design industry (such as illustration, Motion Design, and creative coding), but I found my true love in UX Design.
In the last few years working in the tech world, I wore different hats, such as Product Designer, UX Researcher, and Product Manager. I led both Product Designers and product squads.
Even after all these years working as a Designer, I still firmly believe that Design exists to advocate for a better world. As designers, we are responsible for voicing our users' needs: especially minorities, and keeping in mind the importance of accessibility. The product that will be released will impact the world, and we have to look beyond our key metrics: it might have achieved its goal, but is it genuinely helping people? How about the impact it will have on society?
Besides thinking about the universe and the future, I love watching TV shows, playing with my cats, and eating vegan junk food. During this quarantine, I became addicted to yoga.
